WHO DOES THE LARGEST LIBRARY IN OUR NATION CHECK-OUT WHEN THEY NEED SIGNS?
2/90 Sign Systems! The Library of Congress (LOC) in Washington, D.C., faced the challenge of upgrading and modernizing its signage and wayfinding program to meet operational and compliance requirements while enhancing the visitor experience. To address this, the LOC selected the 2/90 Slide Modular Sign System as its premier architectural signage system. Collaborating closely with LOC and AOC staff, 2/90 designed, programmed, and implemented a comprehensive interior signage wayfinding program. The new sign design standard offered modularity for cost-effective updates, along with custom design features to meet the organization’s goals and aesthetics. 2/90 also provided installation services, respecting the environment and library patrons. The 2/90 SmartCare+ Maintenance services were then employed to monitor, update, and maintain the signage program.

LEADING THE WAY.

In 2017, 2/90 Sign Systems developed SafeCare, with the guidance of The New York State Office of Mental Health, a groundbreaking signage system specifically designed for behavioral health environments. SafeCare signs are made of durable polycarbonate material that prevents breakage and can’t be used as weapons. The signs feature soft round corners and beveled sides, eliminating sharp edges that could harm patients. Tamper-resistant fasteners and adhesive secure the signs to the wall, preventing tampering.

Caro Psychiatric Hospital in Caro, Michigan, faced the challenge of implementing a wayfinding solution that would ensure patient safety while effectively guiding patients, staff, and visitors through their new 100-bed facility with four wings. They needed a signage system that could adapt to their unique behavioral health environment and provide clear differentiation between various areas.
