Local Law 26

In June 2004, the New York City Council voted into law recommendations aimed at improving the safety of new and existing class E commercial building structures, due to the need to provide a higher level of safety for the people of NYC. The first recommendation to be implemented by July 1, 2006 is the mandatory installation of photoluminescent directional egress markings.
